TEEN PROGRAMS AT ARIZONA SCIENCE CENTER
Are you a teen with a passion for science and serving the community? The Science Center offers Arizona teens multiple ways to get involved and meet new friends, including our Teen Advisory Board, Teen Volunteer Program, Teen Camps, Teen Memberships and Teen Internship Program.
Frankenstein Lab
Saturday, May 11 | 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
CREATE at Arizona Science Center®
Grades 7-12 Only: $20
It’s—it’s—it’s ALIVE! At Arizona Science Center’s Frankenstein Lab, teens in grades 7-12 will have the chance to craft their own creation, then bring it to life using tools and technology. Throughout the day, participants will build their own mini automatons, moving mechanical devices, using the tools and machines available at CREATE at Arizona Science Center®, from 3D printers and laser cutters to woodworking tools. By the end of the workshop, teens will feel more confident in using Makerspace technology and have their own mini automaton to take home.
Lunch will be provided.

Make Waves

Dive into aquatic biology! During this Panel Professionals event, curious minds will discover the various career paths that will take you from the Colorado River to the depths of the ocean. Join us for an engaging Q+A panel featuring field experts, followed by mini workshops that give you the opportunity to explore the depths of these captivating careers.
This event is included with your Arizona Science Center Membership or general admission. Simply plan to visit the Science Center on May 25 and meet at the Daniel Cracchiolo Theater on level 1 at 1:00 p.m. to partake in the panel and following workshops!
Teen Tech IRL
Want to change the world? During each Teen Tech IRL session, students in grades 9-12 will investigate cutting-edge technology solving real-world problems. From education and farming to healthcare and community advancements, interactive sessions will inspire teens to tap into their creativity and critical thinking.
In a pitch-style format, teens will imagine impactful technology, discovering that the limit is their own imagination and that they have the power to change the course of future history.

Teen Advisory Board
Applications Now Open for the 2024-2025 Teen Advisory Board
Arizona Science Center's Teen Advisory Board members serve as representatives for the Science Center by promoting relations between donors and supporters to understand the importance of teen programming better. In addition, the Teen Advisory Board works with the Center's leadership team and local community organizations to develop, test and implement content, programs and exhibits. Through their experience on the Teen Advisory Board and with guidance from Arizona Science Center Team Members, teens ages 15+ will develop as exceptional young leaders in the community!

Teen Volunteer Program
Arizona Science Center’s Teen Volunteer Program provides a variety of service projects that support the Center’s mission to inspire, educate and engage curious minds through science! Teen volunteers will have the opportunity to engage Guests with hands-on activities in the Center and prepare science kits for schools and programs.
Our program is customized to fit each volunteer’s needs and comfort levels. The Teen Volunteer Program can provide a service-learning credit if requested. Must be 15 years and older to volunteer.
