LaterLab is a space for Makers to freely design, create and connect! Using the tools, machines and materials already available at CREATE, Makers will have the freedom to build on our 3D printers, etch designs with our laser cutters, woodwork using our tools and machinery, and sew up unique creations with our sewing machines. Every Wednesday and Saturday night, CREATE will stay open from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. to allow aspiring artists, handiwork enthusiasts and curious creatives to explore a new skill, hone their craft and meet like-minded Makers.
Whether you’re fostering a hobby outside your career, kickstarting your small business or something else, we invite Makers of all backgrounds and curiosities to explore LaterLab.
To participate in LaterLab, all Makers must take one of CREATE’s Skill Studio workshops or Creator Courses to learn machine safety. If you’re planning on woodworking, closed-toe shoes are required.

Woodworking 101 | 3D Printing | Laser Cutting | Sewing
CREATE at Arizona Science Center®'s Skill Studio Workshops explore beginner woodworking, laser cutting, 3D printing and sewing. Through one-hour sessions, the experts at CREATE will guide Makers through the creation process of a take-home keepsake, safety best practices, and tips and tricks.
Creator Courses
Build a 3D Printer | Wood Shop
CREATE at Arizona Science Center®'s Creator Courses offer the space for Makers to expand on their creative passions. The Makerspace currently offers two courses: Build a 3D Printer and Wood Shop. Both courses walk Makers through the process of 3D printing and woodworking through longer sessions.
