CREATE at Arizona Science Center

CREATE at Arizona Science Center® is where science, design, and engineering collide! Inspired by the productivity of an inventor’s workshop, the creativity of an art studio, and the experimentation of a lab, CREATE is a 6,500 square-foot community hub for turning dreams into reality.

At CREATE, people of all ages can share ideas, collaborate on projects and learn about science, technology, engineering, math, and art through making. By using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled equipment and traditional crafting tools, visitors will have the chance to cut, saw, code, hammer, sew, paint, solder and much more!

CREATE is open during the following times:
Tuesday – Saturday:
10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Last Entry at 2:45 p.m.)
Sunday & Monday: Closed

CREATE Field Trips

CREATE Field Trips

Each CREATE field trip offers groups a private dedicated space within the CREATE building. Following COVID safety protocols, our CREATE field trips for School Groups are unique, hands-on activities that give students the opportunity to engage with the principles of making, tinkering, and design thinking, while also developing proficiency within the framework of the ISTE educational standards.

In this next-generation educational facility, we use both new and traditional technologies to foster active learning and creative problem-selvin in a flexible, multi-use environment. At CREATE, we hope to ignite passion in both students and teachers for the type of experimentation that successful scientists, artists, engineers and inventors embody.

CREATE on Wheels

CREATE On Wheels

CREATE on Wheels takes innovation, creativity and learning to your school! This mobile makerspace is ready to launch a brand new curriculum that aligns to Arizona state standards. With a real-world, project-based learning element, CREATE on Wheels will impact students beyond their experience. Each program focuses on using a specific tool, technology or machine used in STEM careers. These hands-on, engaging learning opportunities always start with an essential question for students to answer during the process of working through their challenge, targeting students in grades 4–12.
