STEAM Opportunities for Girl Scouts

Arizona Science Center offers unique STEM-focused experiences for Girl Scouts of all levels! From Half day BadgeLabs to evening twilight adventures and overnight sleepovers, each program is packed with science fun, badge-earning activities, and unforgettable memories.


Girl Scout Patch Workshop

$20 Per Girl Scout
Levels: Daisy – Ambassador 
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

In this two-hour workshop, Girl Scouts will explore STEM topics through hands-on activities designed to be fun and engaging! Complete experiments, challenges, and interactive projects, all while earning an Arizona Science Center fun patch to celebrate your accomplishments.

Explore the stars, planets, and space through hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity while earning your Astronomy Fun Patch. Girl Scouts will investigate the night sky, learn how scientists study space, and discover what makes our universe so amazing!

  • Scouts must be accompanied by an adult. Ratio of 1 Chaperone to 6 Scouts.

Explore the science of life through hands-on biology activities! Plus—spark curiosity while earning your Fun Biology Patch. Girl Scouts will investigate living things, discover how plants and animals grow and survive, and learn how scientists study the natural world.

Through hands-on experiments designed to spark curiosity Girl Scouts will leave with an exclusive Arizona Science Center chemistry patch. Participants will explore reactions, mixtures, and changes in matter while learning how scientists use chemistry to understand the world around us.

Girl Scout Badge Workshops

$25 Per Girl Scout
Levels: Daisy – Cadette
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

During this two-hour badge workshop, Girl Scouts will dive deeper into science, technology, engineering, or math. Complete guided activities, practice problem-solving and teamwork, and leave with new skills and knowledge on your way to earning Girl Scout Badges.

Unleash your creativity and curiosity while earning your Craft and Tinker Badge! Girl Scouts will explore hands-on building, designing, and crafting activities that inspire imagination and innovation. Through experimenting with different materials and techniques, scouts will learn how makers and inventors turn ideas into creations while developing problem-solving skills, confidence, and teamwork.

Unleash imagination and problem-solving skills while earning your Create and Innovate Badge in this hands-on workshop! Girl Scouts will dive into creative challenges that encourage them to design, build, and test solutions to real-world problems. Through collaboration, experimentation, and iteration, scouts will discover how innovators turn ideas into impact while building confidence, teamwork, and a maker mindset.

Build and test simple roller coaster creations using fun materials while exploring all the ways a coaster can move! Through playful teamwork and discovery, scouts will begin to understand basic forces like push and pull while having fun designing and sharing their creations.

Join us for a half-day Coding Adventure! Learn how programmers write code for computers and how they create video games and apps that help communities. Plus, Girl Scouts will get one hour to explore Arizona Science Center!

In this beginner-friendly coding workshop, Girl Scouts will learn how to give clear instructions, recognize patterns, and solve problems—all key skills used by real programmers.
