Arizona Science Center Refund Policy

General Policy

All purchases at Arizona Science Center (Science Center), including, without limitation, admission tickets, Dorrance DOME tickets, Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen Theater Tickets, camps, programs, special events, retail store purchases, memberships, gift cards/gift memberships, and other purchases are considered final and are not subject to cancellation, exchange, credit or refund unless specifically set forth below.

Cancellations, refunds, exchanges, or account credits may be granted or issued solely at the Science Center's discretion on a case-by-case basis. Any cancellation, refund, exchange or account credit granted or issued by the Science Center in any instance shall not obligate the Science Center to grant or issue any cancellation refund, exchange or account credit in any other instance.

Original proof of purchase may be required for any cancellation refund, exchange or account credit.

Note: Refunds, if and when approved, will generally be issued to the original form of payment. Cash refunds may not be available for purchases originally made by credit card.

1. Admission Tickets

Admission tickets are non-refundable after purchase.

Refunds or account credits may be considered if:

• The Science Center closes unexpectedly and without prior notice for a significant portion (as determined by Science Center management in its sole discretion) of its normal operating hours.
• A significant portion (as determined by Science Center management in its sole discretion) of the Science Center experience is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.
• A ticket was purchased in error and the guest contacts the Science Center before their scheduled visit.
• Other circumstances approved by Science Center management.

2. Dorrance DOME, Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen Theater, and Other Ticketed Events

Show and event purchases are final sale and are non-refundable. Guests who miss a scheduled show are not entitled to a refund.

If space is available, the Science Center may in its discretion permit guests to transfer to another showing on the same day. Please contact the Science Center in advance at help@azscience.org to inquire about rescheduling your tickets to a different date. Rescheduling is subject to availability in all instances.

If a show is cancelled by the Science Center, guests will be offered a refund, account credit, or tickets to an alternate show at the Science Center’s discretion.

3. Programs

A. Camps (excluding offsite camps managed by third parties)

• Cancellations must be requested no less than 2 weeks prior to the first day of camp in order to receive a refund. All refunds will be subject to a $35 cancellation fee per child, per each week-long session that is cancelled.
• Cancellations received between 3-13 days prior to the first day of camp will be limited to a credit for a future camp session (less the cancellation fee set forth above). Credits are valid for one year from the date of issue.
• No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received less than 3 days prior to the first day of camp.
• Transfers from one camp session to another within the same calendar year are subject to availability. If a transfer is available, a $10 processing fee per child per transfer will apply.

B. Homeschool

• Cancellations must be requested no less than 2 weeks prior to the first day of the session in order to receive a refund. All refunds will be subject to a $35 cancellation fee per child, per session that is cancelled. Refunds for a one-day session will be subject to a $10 cancellation fee.
• Cancellations received between 3-13 days prior to the first day of the session will be limited to a credit for a future session (less the cancellation fee set forth above). Credits are valid for one year from the date of issue.
• No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received less than 3 days prior to the first day of the session.
• Transfers from one session to another within the same calendar year are subject to availability. If a transfer is available, a $10 processing fee per child per transfer will apply.

C. One-day Programs

(Including, without limitation, STEM programs, maker activities, workshops, other educational programs, and other ticketed programs not otherwise specifically addressed in this Refund Policy.)

• Cancellations must be requested no less than 2 weeks prior to the program in order to receive a refund. All refunds will be subject to a $10 cancellation fee per person, per program that is cancelled.
• Cancellations received between 3-13 days prior to the program will be limited to a credit for a future program (less the cancellation fee set forth above). Credits are valid for one year from the date of issue.
• No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received less than 3 days prior to the program.
• Transfers from one program to another within the same calendar year are subject to availability. If a transfer is available, a $10 processing fee per child per transfer will apply.
• If a program is cancelled by the Science Center, guests will be offered a refund, account credit, or tickets to an alternate show at the Science Center’s discretion.

4. Special Events

Special Event tickets are non-refundable.

If a show is cancelled by the Science Center, guests will be offered a refund, account credit, or tickets to an alternate show at the Science Center’s discretion.

5. Retail Store Purchases

Eligible Returns

Unused merchandise in original condition may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.

Exchanges

Unused merchandise may be exchanged within 60 days of purchase with a receipt for merchandise of equal or greater value.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are generally not eligible for return unless defective:

• Food and beverages
• Clearance or final-sale merchandise
• Personalized items
• Opened educational kits or science materials
• Gift cards

Defective merchandise may be exchanged or refunded.

6. Membership Purchases

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

7. Gift Cards/Gift Memberships

Gift cards/Gift memberships are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash except where required by applicable law.

Lost or stolen gift cards or gift memberships are not replaceable without documentation acceptable to the Science Center establishing both (a) proof of purchase and (b) that the gift card/gift membership has not yet been redeemed.

8. Science on Wheels

• Payment is due in full 30 days after services are rendered unless agreed upon in advance by both parties. Please note that prices are subject to change if the number of participants exceeds the amount quoted above.
• Cancellations must be made 14 or more days in advance. A cancellation fee of 25% of the total program fee will be charged for programs cancelled fewer than 14 days in advance.
• If a program is cancelled fewer than 7 days in advance, 50% of the total program fee will be charged.
• We provide one date change free of charge if requested at least 7 days in advance of the original date. Additional date changes are subject to a $30 rescheduling fee.
• Future program bookings will not be permitted until all outstanding balances are paid in full.
• The Scope of Service is due within 14 days after the issue date. Exceptions may be made with prior notice that additional approval is required.
• The program date and time are confirmed once the Scope of Service is returned.
