Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders
The Teen Advisory Board works closely with Arizona Science Center leadership and local community organizations to develop, test and implement forward-thinking, future-focused content, programs and exhibits. Thanks to this group of young scientists, we can evolve our programming to engage this generation of students—and those to come.
For teens, participation in the Teen Advisory Board offers opportunities for honing critical thinking skills, fostering collaboration, learning about STEM, interacting with hands-on activities, developing personal growth and connecting with professionals in STEM fields.
Applications are now OPEN for the 2026-2027 Teen Advisory Board. They will CLOSE May 16, 2026.

The Teen Advisory board plays a critical role in informing Arizona Science Center staff and Community partners on best practices to engage teen and young adult communities.

The subcommittees of the board work in unison to collaborate on projects that help drive the mission of the Arizona Science Center to enable people of all ages to engage with science.

Actively participating in monthly meetings with additional meetings as needed to complete tasks

Providing input on the programming and events at Arizona Science Center

Collaborating with Arizona Science Center staff to plan and execute projects
- Collaborate on one of the three subcommittees that work to enhance teen programming
- Marketing: Developing and implementing marketing strategies targeting teen audiences
- Curriculum and Exhibits: Develop and activate STEM activities , demonstrations, and exhibits that interest teens and young adults
- Community connections: Develop and sustain relationships with other teen boards. Participate in tabling and networking events for teens on behalf of Arizona Science Center
- Volunteering with Arizona Science Center team members to deliver and develop teen-relevant programming
- Connect with STEM professionals
