CREATE It in 3D: From Idea to Print

Students build essential skills across two scaffolded sessions, transforming ideas into real creations they can take home. Younger learners explore hands-on 3D pen drawing, while older students advance to modeling and printing—empowering everyone to design, prototype, and bring their creations to life.

February 2 & February 17 | 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Students use 3D pens to turn their drawings into real objects they can hold! While exploring shapes, patterns, and structure, they'll build spatial reasoning and design skills by drawing directly in the air.

February 2 & February 17  | 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Students become inventors as they design their own small objects using 3D modeling software. After creating their prototypes, they’ll explore how 3D printers bring digital designs into the real world, and leave with a printed item of their design.

February 2 & February 17  |  2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Students become inventors as they design their own small objects using 3D modeling software. After creating their prototypes, they’ll explore how 3D printers bring digital designs into the real world, and leave with a printed item of their design.

Ready, Set, Robo Action!

Students build essential problem-solving skills across two scaffolded sessions in these hands-on robotics classes designed for homeschoolers of all ages. Through age-appropriate challenges, they progress from exploring movement and sensing to tackling advanced design, testing, and programming.

Students explore real-world robots and what makes them different from toys or machines. Through hands-on play with simple robotics tools and creative building activities, they’ll discover how robots sense and move.

MARCH 3  MARCH 17

Students explore inputs, outputs, and feedback as they take apart simple robotic systems and test them in action through iterative design.

MARCH 3   MARCH 17

Students explore robotic systems to understand how real-world machines use sensors, motors, and logic to respond to their environment. They’ll break down a problem and program a robotic solution through problem-solving, collaboration, and engineering design.

Homeschool Engineering Expedition Build, Explore, Engineer

Hands-on engineering fun for homeschoolers of all ages! These classes let students use real tools and materials to design, test, and build their creations. Each session stands on its own or builds on the last, offering age-appropriate challenges that grow from simple structures to advanced, functional builds.

Students become hands-on builders as they learn how to use kid-safe tools to shape and connect materials. They’ll explore how structures are made and test their creations for strength, balance, and creativity.

MAY 5   MAY 19

Students dive into engineering by learning to safely use real tools to build a collaborative structure and explore how materials, connectors, and angles affect strength and stability while focusing on testing and iteration.

MAY 5   MAY 19

Students take on the role of real engineers—learning safe tool handling and techniques while building a functional mechanism or structure. They’ll plan a design, measure and cut materials, and assemble their build based on real-world constraints and engineering strategies.
