Arizona Science Center in partnership with The Phoenix Bioscience Core (PBC) is pleased to host ARx4: Live, a showcase of the Artist + Researcher (ARx) program. Hear from pairings of life science researchers and local artists who translated scientific ideas into compelling visual art. Nine curated teams will present on themes ranging from neuroscience to environmental health through artistic expression. Get a sneak peek of innovative research happening locally and see how artists bring this to life.
Mindful Movements: Yoga in the Dorrance DOME

Yes! The Dorrance DOME—formerly known as the Dorrance Planetarium—is a permanent feature at the Arizona Science Center, ushering in a new era of immersive education and cultural engagement. Powered by next-generation technologies, including a high-resolution LED dome display and a dynamic content ecosystem, it positions the Arizona Science Center as a global leader in immersive science storytelling.

More than a planetarium, the Dorrance DOME is a gateway to the universe—hosting immersive astronomy shows, live presentations, concerts, yoga, and community gatherings that unite art, science, and culture beneath one dazzling LED dome.
Daytime shows run on average for 30 minutes. To view more information on available shows and specific run times per show, please visit DorranceDOME.com.
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled showtime. This gives you plenty of time to find your seat, get comfortable, and ensure you don’t miss the start of the experience. Once the show begins, late entry may be restricted to avoid disruptions.
Food and drinks are allowed inside the Dorrance DOME. Guests are welcome to bring small snacks and beverages to enjoy during the immersive experience. Please be mindful of others by keeping items contained and disposing of trash properly, ensuring everyone can enjoy the show in a clean and comfortable environment.
Five ADA-compliant spaces are available within the Dorrance DOME. Guests will enter through the main entrance. A Team Member can assist you in locating your seat once inside the venue.
Closed captioning, amplified audio (headsets and neck loops) and descriptive audio are available for most films at no additional cost. Please request assistive devices when making ticket reservations or at the Admissions Zone or Information Zone.
