CAMP INNOVATION Sets Sail for a Pirate Adventure on President’s Day

Arizona Science Center’s Day Camp Invites Jr. Scientists to Embark on a Hands‑on STEAM Journey Filled With Engineering, Astronomy, and Deep Sea Discoveries

PHOENIX – Arizona Science Center’s enriching day-camp returns for an upcoming federal holiday. On Presidents Day (February 16), CAMP INNOVATION will present “Science Ahoy!”, a full-day, pirate-themed STEAM adventure. The camp provides students in grades 1–6 with hands-on activities, structured games and creative learning opportunities.

During the session on President’s Day, campers will unite on a quest, where they will build and launch catapults and learn how to navigate the ocean using the night sky. This imaginative program combines engineering, physics, and astronomy to help campers uncover the secrets of the seas using science as their guide.

WHEN: Monday, February 16 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Drop Off Window: 8:15 - 8:45 a.m. 

Pick Up Window: 3:45 - 4:30 p.m. 

DETAILS: Hoist the sails and dive into a world of science! Young pirates and Jr. Scientists alike will build and launch catapults, create periscopes, and learn how to navigate the night sky using the stars.

Uncover the secrets of the seas, using science as the compass!

COST: $60 Members | $65 Non-Members

NOTE: Campers should wear close-toed shoes, bring lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle.
