Arizona Science Center to Offer Superhero Science Camp for Grade Students

CAMP INNOVATION Returns on MLK Jr. Day to Teach Attendees About Electricity, Sonic Blasts, and Lightening Speeds

PHOENIX – Right off the heels of its Winter Break CAMP INNOVATION, Arizona Science Center is back with more fun experiments and demonstrations for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This one-day camp is themed “Super STEM: Super Heroes in Training” to help students explore their inner strengths and abilities.

This one-day camp will give them insight into real-world superpowers and how these science-based concepts have inspired their favorite superheroes. Some of the experiments they’ll be conducting include Ice Bubbles (related to Frozone from the Incredibles): how to turn moisture in the air to a solid form; engineering a superhero gadget (i.e. energy shield, ivory boomerang, etc.); and creating a superhero rocket that tests their knowledge of thrust, lift and drag (related to Superman and Iron Man’s special abilities).
