Arizona Science Center Hosts Ultimate Survival Camp for Grade Students

Young Explorers Set to Become Survival Specialists Through Shelter Building, Disease Prevention and Team Work at CAMP INNOVATION: Spring Break

PHOENIX – Arizona Science Center is transforming into a survival school for this year’s CAMP INNOVATION  Spring Break. In this camp, titled “Outbreak Alert! Survival Science,” students in grades 1-6 will learn how to stay safe and thrive in natural environments. 

Attendees will be immersed in a full day of survival STEM, where they will participate in hands-on experiments to build survival gear and safe shelters. Also, instructors will teach them, through practical application and scientific theory, how to properly navigate food and water in the wild to prevent infectious diseases. 

One of the key elements of survival is working in a team, so this camp is centered around activities that foster a collective effort. By working together and following the protocol put in place by the instructors, these students will become expert survivalists.

Learn how to  create your own survival gear, build safe shelters, and discover the science behind infectious diseases.

From hands-on experiments to building your own tools, you’ll work in teams to solve challenges and learn real-world skills like water purification, growing food, and more. You’ll also explore how scientists fight dangerous viruses and keep people safe.

With cool challenges, awesome experiments, and tons of teamwork, you’ll be ready for anything–no matter what the world throws at you! Are you ready to take on the ultimate survival challenge?

COST: 5-Day Week: $295 member | $325 non-member

Daily Pricing: $60 member | $65 non-member

NOTE: Campers should wear close-toed shoes, bring lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle.
