Arizona Science Center Announces Miesha Stoute as Chairwoman of Galaxy Gala 2026
PHOENIX — Arizona Science Center is proud to announce that Miesha Stoute, President of Universal Laser Systems, Inc. and member of Arizona Science Center Board of Trustees, will serve as Chairwoman of the 2026 Galaxy Gala, the Center’s annual fundraiser supporting science education, innovation, and accessible science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programming across Arizona.
As Arizona Science Center’s largest philanthropic event of the year, Galaxy Gala brings together community leaders, advocates, and supporters to celebrate the power of STEM learning and help ensure that science remains accessible to learners of all ages. The 2026 event, chaired by Stoute, will reflect her passion for technology, education, and community impact.
“Miesha’s leadership, vision, and dedication to STEM education have made her an invaluable member of our community,” said Tammy Stewart, Interim Hazel A. Hare President & CEO, Arizona Science Center. “Her commitment to empowering future scientists and innovators aligns beautifully with the mission of the Galaxy Gala. Stoute currently serves as President of Universal Laser Systems, Inc. (ULS), a leading global manufacturer of laser material processing technology. In her role, she oversees strategic direction, operations, and technological innovation in advanced laser solutions. Prior to becoming President, she held leadership roles in global sales, marketing, and service within ULS. Her earlier career at Nortel and Motorola further shaped her expertise in the high-tech sector.
A dedicated advocate of STEM education, Stoute has been a member of the Arizona Science Center Board of Trustees since 2017. She holds multiple patents in laser technology and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University.
“Arizona’s future depends on how we inspire and prepare the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders,” said Stoute. “As Chair of the 2026 Galaxy Gala, I’m proud to help strengthen partnerships that bridge education, industry, and innovation across our state.”
Galaxy Gala 2026 is Saturday, February 21, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m.
