Teen Science Social: Around the World

Presented by Arizona Science Center's Teen Advisory Board 

Saturday, February 22 | 6 –10 p.m. 
High School teens grades 9–12 only. | FREE General Admission 
Includes one (1) food ticket for dinner and one (1) drink ticket from Dutch Bros. Snacks provided by Whataburger.

Teens, go around the world to celebrate different cultures and science! From Germany to China, discover all the cool scientific findings we can’t live without — or maybe didn’t even know to exist. Grub on Whataburger and Dutch Bros, dance to the music provided by Jimmie M and explore all four levels of the Science Center.

High school teens in grades 9–12 only. Must have a valid High School I.D. Adults and children under 13 not allowed into the event. Arizona Science Center staff and City of Phoenix officers will be on-site during the event. While coming in costume is encouraged, props are not allowed at this event.

Forms of identification accepted for entry for proof of age and grade.

Incoming Freshman, please bring last's semester's report card or eighth-grade Completion Certificate for entry. 

What to know

Drop Off and Pick Up Area 

Parents and guardians can drop off their teens at the 5th Street Unloading Area, then walk them to the main entrance of the Center.  The doors will open at 6 p.m. 

Parents and guardians are able to arrive early at the event to pick up their teens.  The event will end at 10 p.m.  Arizona Science Center staff will be present until the last teen has been picked up, so please make sure to arrive by 10 p.m. Teens are encouraged to stay at the main entrance area to wait for their rides to arrive. 


Arizona Science Center staff and Police Officers will be at the Center throughout the night for the event.

CREATE offers Basic Use and Safety Classes. These classes are basic and focus on the use of equipment, safety and protocol, and are required to become a Pass Holder or take intermediate and advanced workshops. Those between the ages of 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 13 years of age are restricted to age-appropriate workshops, special events and staff-supervised tours.

Workshops will provide in-–depth instruction for more complex projects as well as the proper procedures for using the tools, technology and software in the space. All guests are required to take an introductory/safety class and sign a Waiver and Release of Liability prior to taking an intermediate or advanced class.

Meet Girl Scouts from other troops and enjoy the Science Center's lively atmosphere as you complete hands-on science activities.
