Teen Night at CREATE: Atlantis - Water Conservation 

Presented by Arizona Science Center's Teen Advisory Board

Junior High and High School teens ages 13–18 only.

Teens will explore the world of water conservation and air pollution at this hands-on workshop.

Activities include:

  • Ocean Acidification
  • Oil Spill Clean Up
  • Candied Coral Construction
  • Air Pollution Visualization
  • Seedling Activity


Located at CREATE at Arizona Science Center, adjacent to the main building.

Junior High and High school teens ages 13–18 only. A valid Jr. High or High School Photo I.D., State Photo I.D. or Military Photo I.D. is required to enter the event. Teens must pre-register. Arizona Science Center staff and City of Phoenix officers will be on site.

The Teen Advisory Board is part of Arizona Science Center's initiative to engage teens in STEM by involving high school teenagers directly in developing and executing Teen Science Socials, career-focused TeenTalks, and other events and programming.

CREATE offers Basic Use and Safety Classes. These classes are basic and focus on the use of equipment, safety and protocol, and are required to become a Pass Holder or take intermediate and advanced workshops. Those between the ages of 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 13 years of age are restricted to age-appropriate workshops, special events and staff-supervised tours.

Workshops will provide in-–depth instruction for more complex projects as well as the proper procedures for using the tools, technology and software in the space. All guests are required to take an introductory/safety class and sign a Waiver and Release of Liability prior to taking an intermediate or advanced class.

Meet Girl Scouts from other troops and enjoy the Science Center's lively atmosphere as you complete hands-on science activities.
