Throughout this exciting day, you’ll have the opportunity to view amazing student projects competing for multiple awards and prizes, participate in engaging Q&A sessions with STEM Ambassadors, experience a thrilling science demonstration from Arizona Science Center, and hear from STEM professionals in our Career Corner video series!

Aaron Yazzie

Guest Speaker: Aaron Yazzie

10:00 a.m.

Join us at 10:00 a.m. for an inspiring discussion with Aaron Yazzie. A member of the Navajo Nation and raised in Holbrook, Arizona, Yazzie currently works as a Mechanical Engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California where he designs mechanical systems for NASA’s robotic space research missions, with a special focus on Mars.

Live Liquid Nitrogen Demonstration

11:00 a.m.

Join us at 11:00 a.m. on Facebook Live for a thrilling liquid nitrogen demo demonstrating the three main states of matter. Learn how liquid nitrogen creates huge geysers, freezes liquids, and contracts gasses to their solid molecular form. Focusing on how the states or matter and liquid nitrogen interact with each other to bring a wonderful learning experience for the audience and volunteers, this is a demonstration not to be missed!

Guest Speaker: Prisha Shroff

2:00 p.m.

Join us at 2:00 p.m. for an exciting conversation with Prisha Shroff, an AzSEF 2021 First Place Winner in Computer Science, and the winner of the Lemelson Award for invention as part of the Broadcom Masters competition for her project on wildfire prevention using an AI-based system.
