Elementary & Junior Divisions


March 22, 2018 |  Check–In and Judging

7–11 a.m.  (the doors will be locked at 11:15 a.m. and no late projects will be accepted) 
Project check–in and set–up. 

There is no additional or required paperwork for these divisions. Once the project is set up, you are free to have lunch and return by 12 p.m. for judging to begin. The AzSEF check-in team members will be walking around to make sure displays (and possibly projects) comply with the display and safety guidelines.* If your project receives a blue Rules/Safety Concern slip just follow the directions. Your project is not being disqualified, we may just have some questions to address later. 

Absolutely no projects will be checked-in after 11:15 a.m. on March 22.

*Anyone is welcome to check–in student projects, but please note, the same check-in procedures above still apply. Parents are not allowed in the hall during judging.

Attendance is optional, though highly encouraged. Scores are not penalized if a student/team is not present. 

7 a.m.  |  Project check-in opens for Elementary and Junior Division students

7–11 a.m.  |  Check-in

11 a.m.  |  Project Hall closes

12:30–3 p.m.   |   Judging and interviews of Elementary and Junior Division projects

3 p.m.  |  All students dismissed, projects must stay onsite until 3:30 for grand award judging

3:30–7 p.m.  |  Elementary and Junior Division project pick-up and removal

7 p.m.  |  All projects must be removed–any projects left will be disposed of

10 p.m.  |  Elementary and Junior Division winners published on website 
Awards will be presented on March 23 at 7 p.m

March 23, 2018  |  Awards Ceremony 

7 p.m.  Phoenix Convention Center Hall 1 
Winners will be posted on our website at 10 p.m., Thursday, March 22.
Attendance is not required, awards can be mailed to out to recipients.

Senior Division


March 22, 2018 | Check–In

7 a.m.–7 p.m. 
Project check–in and set–up. 

Senior Division students must have their completed ISEF paperwork completed before checking in. The AzSEF check-in team members will be walking around to make sure displays (and possibly projects) comply with the display and safety guidelines.* If your project receives a blue Rules/Safety Concern slip just follow the directions. Your project is not being disqualified, we may just have some questions to address later. 

Absolutely no projects will be checked-in after 7:00 p.m. on March 22.

4:30 p.m.             Senior Division projects may be removed
5:30 p.m.             Senior Division winners announced
10 p.m.                All Senior Division projects not removed will be disposed of
