The Science of Dogs Exhibition at Arizona Science Center
Have you ever wondered what your dog is thinking? Dogs! A Science Tail is a fun, interactive glimpse into the world of our canine friends. The exhibition highlights the extraordinary ways dogs see, hear and smell their surroundings, and explores why humans and dogs are best friends.
Let curiosity be your guide and discover life from a dog’s point of view in the Science Center’s newest exhibition. Experience the extraordinary way a dog sees, hears and smells the world.
What to expect
- Explore the world from a dog's perspective through a variety of hands-on exhibits.
- Learn how the ability to understand and communicate with each other lies at the heart of the unique relationship between humans and dogs, and what makes this one of the most successful interspecies partnerships of all time.
- Test your pop culture knowledge during a game of "Jeopawdy!" based on the show Jeopardy!
- All Guests are invited to share personal photos and stories of their dogs on a photo wall.
- Share your photos on social media using the hashtags #DogsAScienceTail #AzScienceDogs
Dogs! A Science Tail exhibition was created and developed by the California Science Center with support from Annenberg Foundation and Wallis Annenberg PetSpace. PetSmart Charities is sponsoring the national tour. Dogs! A Science Tail is generously sponsored locally by PetSmart, SRP, Two Pups Wellness Fund, and U.S. Bank.

Guests will be able to adopt pups from Arizona Animal Welfare League, Arizona Humane Society, HALO Animal Rescue, Lost Our Home Pet Rescue and Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.

Assemble a bark-worthy bookend inspired by Dogs! A Science Tail! Choose one of three different laser-cut designs and add your unique design before building your canine.
Children 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
