Overview
Arizona Science Center provides exploration, education and entertainment for all ages. Nestled in the picturesque setting of Heritage and Science Park, the Science Center is a unique landmark designed by renowned architect Antoine Predock. This 140,000-square-foot building is a maze of ramps, hallways, galleries, and terraces that creates an environment for investigation and discovery.
The Center contains four levels of exciting "hands-on" exhibits, a state-of-the-art planetarium, and a 5-story giant-screen theater. Science and technology from an Arizona perspective is highlighted throughout.
The Science Center neighbors many other attractions, such as Heritage Square, Phoenix Civic Plaza, US Airways Arena, Chase Field, and the Arizona Center. Located at 7th and Washington Streets in downtown Phoenix, the Center is accessible from Interstates 10 and 17. Garage parking is available at 5th and Monroe streets, and other neighboring locations. Motor coach parking is also available.
Exhibits
The All About You exhibit reveals the workings of the human body. Exploring Your Mind explores the many mysteries of the human mind and addiction. Many Hands Make A Home offers an in-depth look at the process of creating a house from start to finish. Get Charged Up!, which recently opened, focuses on the physical world around us and how we react to it. Living With The Sun demonstrates Arizona's unique colors with topics on light, reflection, solar power, and the effects of the sun on all living things. In the newly renovated Forces of Nature gallery, immerse yourself, literally, with the intricate science of land, air and water. Learn about the digital technology that we live and work with everyday in the brand new My Digital World.
In addition to the variety of topics covered by our featured exhibits, the Center also hosts visiting exhibitions throughout the year. Please check our website home page for the most current information on upcoming traveling exhibits coming to Arizona Science Center.
Dorrance Planetarium
Travel through the galaxies in the Center's planetarium. With a state-of-the-art NanoSeam Done and computerized video projection system, the 200-seat planetarium can recreate the constellations in the sky for all its guests to enjoy. Programs combine computer graphics, videos, and slides to take visitors on a dazzling journey across the universe. The planetarium also features a "push button" response system at each seat, which is ideal for special meetings and programs. For more information, Click here.
Irene P. Flinn Theater
The sights and sounds of our world and beyond come alive in the Center's 285-seat, IMAX theater. In addition to the 50-foot-high by 65-foot-wide screen, the theater features the IMAX projection system with stereo surround-sound. The Center features at least two spectacular and informative films each year. This theater also is ideal for large group meetings, training sessions, and lectures.

Parking
Parking is available in the Heritage and Science Park Garage located at 5th Street. Please contact AMPCO Parking at (602) 261-7650 to discuss parking fees and availability for your event.
Audio Visual
Your event coordinator can arrange for any of your audio/visual requirements including: podium, PA System, TV / VCR, LCD projector, Gobos, special lighting, etc. Certain equipment may be complimentary with your rental. Please discuss needs and pricing with your event coordinator.
Insurance
The Arizona Science Center requires all users to provide a single-limit public liability certificate of insurance under which the Arizona Science Center and the City of Phoenix are named as additional insureds. The certificate must be in the amount of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000), covering bodily injury, death and property damage.
