explorations educator Workshops

Explorations are intensive, workshops that focus on one topic - exploring concepts and phenomena through hands-on activities and investigations. Lession ideas and instructional techniques are addressed. Participants earn professional development. Arizona Science Center is excited to announce that our workshops are now offered free thanks to a generous sponsorship by APS.

All educators welcome; interdisciplinary school teams are encouraged.

This exciting, hands-on workshop explores the different  types and applications of solar energy including solar hot water, photo voltaic and solar thermal, the technology used by the recently announced Solana  Generating Station. Educators leave with four hours of professional development, interdisciplinary lessons and activities, and classroom supplies.
