WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, blocking out the face of the Sun. While some parts of North America will experience a total solar eclipse, Phoenix will experience a partial eclipse—making the Sun look like a fiery crescent moon. During the eclipse, it’s never safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection. Arizona Science Center will be providing FREE eclipse glasses to all Guests so everyone can view safely!
Phoenix will experience about 64% coverage, producing a dramatic shadow cast down on our city—don’t miss it!
