CONTEST RULES
Drawing to be held on February 11, 2012. Winner will be contacted on February 12, 2012.
Employees of Arizona Science Center, Phoenix Motor Company, Mercedes-Benz of Arrowhead, or a member of the immediate family of any such employee, are not eligible.
Winner(s) must be twenty-one (21) years of age, a legal U.S. resident, currently licensed to operate an automobile and must present evidence of adequate insurance before taking vehicle possession. Winner(s) must be present in Arizona to claim prize.
The Arizona Science Center makes no express or implied warranty as to the prize and specifically disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The drawing is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
TAX AND IRS RULES. Winner(s) shall be responsible for any and all federal, state, local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prizes. Winner(s) shall be responsible for any and all state or local license, title, registration, documentation and prep fees associated with the vehicles. All cash prizes will be paid net of applicable income tax withholding.
SPECIAL NOTE: At the time of the printing, federal law requires that corresponding tax withholding on prize values of $5,000 or greater must be collected from the winner(s) upon award and distribution. Federal and state withholding laws are subject to change without notice. The withholding laws in effect at the time prizes are claimed will be followed. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the prize of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. All fees and taxes must be paid in full before claiming the vehicle. Payment for all income taxes should be made payable to Arizona Science Center with bank certified funds or by bank wire.
