Icky, gooey, stinky, and just plain gross! Is it last month’s dinner? No, it’s the summer science camp at Arizona Science Center!
Based on the Grossology and Animal Grossology exhibitions that will be at the science center this summer, this camp will investigate the impolite science of the human body as well as the slimiest, ickiest creatures on earth. Join us as we explore the grosser side of science!
Age Groups
- Investigators: Ages 6 & 7
- Junior Scientists: Ages 8 & 9
- Researchers: Ages 10 & 11
Locations:
Sessions 1-6 are offered at Arizona Science Center.
Early and late drop-off is available at the Science Center location only.
Sessions 1 & 2 are also offered at our East Valley location,
Fulton Elementary School in Chandler
(located near Chandler Heights and Arizona Avenue)
.
Campers at the East Valley location will visit Arizona Science Center on Fridays.

Calling all girls! Come spend a week with us at this girls-only, teen camp where we will explore the science all around us. Using the steps of the inquiry process, campers will develop their own “SciGirls Skills” as they work in teams to create their own experiments.
This camp is for girls ages 11-13.
Now offered at 2 locations!
Phoenix Preparatory Academy:
Located in downtown Phoenix, two blocks north of Arizona Science Center
East Valley Location:
Fulton Elementary School in Chandler

Ages 12-14
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to help research a cure for cancer, look at cells through a high powered microscope or watch doctors at work? Join Arizona Science Center for a weeklong experience at Barrow Neurological Institute. Become a lab tech and team up with Neuroscientists to transform bacteria, study DNA and market a cure for cancer.
- Extract DNA from plant tissue
- Explore working laboratories and operating rooms used to research and develop oncology treatment methods.
- Research activities on the effectiveness of various treatments/medicines on cancerous tumor cells.
