Directors Circle

You are invited to the 2008 APS Back to School Resource Fair and Reception!

Saturday, Sept. 13, 12:00 - 7:30 p.m.

You will attend professional development sessions, receive tons of free teaching materials in the exhibit hall, enjoy a delicious dinner and receive a FREE educator membership, compliments of APS. You will also have an opportunity to explore two exciting new galleries - Forces of Nature, located in the Sybil B. Harrington Galleries, and My Digital World - and experience a sampling of amazing shows in our recently renovated Dorrance Planetarium.

Sessions cover a variety of subject areas including language arts, science, and social studies presented for grades K-12. Following each session you attend, you will receive a certificate for professional development hours.

This event is for educators (classroom, home school and student teacher) only; please do not bring guests or children - thank you.

PARKING:

While this event is free, please understand that parking is NOT included.

We recommend you park in the Heritage Square Parking Garage located at the corner of 5th Street and Monroe. Please bring in your parking ticket for a discount validation, however, you will still pay up to $8 cash for parking at this garage.

If you park in the garage located on the corner of Washington and 7th Street, you will have to prepay $10 cash due to the Diamondbacks game. We cannot provide a parking discount on game days at this garage.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

PLEASE NOTE: It is imperative that you use the planner (included in the program) so that you do not select multiple sessions for one time, or overlapping sessions (i.e., one session ends at 2:30, and you have scheduled the next one for 2:30).

If you are late to a session your seat will be given away.

This year we are debuting a new on-line registration system that we hope will streamline registration, allow you to preregister for professional development sessions, and expedite the event check-in process.

Please follow these steps for a smooth registration -

  1. Click HERE to download the Preliminary Program, and read the session descriptions contained in this program.
  2. Identify which sessions you would like to attend before registering online. The number of tickets remaining will be displayed for each session. If a workship you wish to take is full, we encourage you to still attend as seach may become available that day.
  3. Click HERE to register!
  4. Request a "ticket" for general admission, each session you would like to attend and for dinner
  5. Complete and submit your registration. You will immediately receive, by email, a confirmation and a "ticket" for admission, each session you chose, and dinner.
  6. Bring your confirmation, tickets, and your school or district ID, or home school affidavit with you to the event.
